Specialized recently released the new Diverge with a redesigned frame geometry, more tire clearance with room for 700c & 650B wheels and a fun internal SWAT™ frame compartment to store a flat fix kit and other paraphernalia. What I like most about the bike is its Future Shock 2.0 technology that features adjustable hydraulic travel that gives you more control of the bike and dampens your ride over rough terrain.
The Diverge makes room for a generous 47mm tire width on a 700c wheel and a 2.1” on a 650B wheel. This opens more paths for backcountry adventure cycling and giving you the option to swap wheelsets for the fast gravel tracks. For riders who want even more versatility, you can ride the Diverge with flat handlebars bars and do away with the traditional drop handlebars for a more ridged MTB feel while still reaping the benefits of its Future Shock 2.0 technology.
They’ve also placed a storage pod on the frames down tube in what they call Internal SWAT™ that lets you place small items to stow away while you ride. And by the looks of it, it seems as though it will store a pump, tube, multi-tool, and a few other small items.
